Arab Women's Enterprise Fund
It is a development program funded by the british foreign office for commonwealth affairs and development and aims to achieve the economic empowerment of women by facilitating a group of programs and activities that address the challenges faced by women in effective and profitable participation in various economic sectors and thus result in improving their income and standard of living.
The arab women's enterprise fund follows the market systems approach in facilitating programs and activities. This approach relies on an analysis of the markets and economic fields in which women work on a large scale and a comprehensive understanding of the challenges that women face in obtaining economic empowerment opportunities. The arab women's projects fund works with entities participating in market systems - such as private sector institutions, government agencies, service providers, or women from the target group for support - to integrate sustainable programs that qualify market systems to achieve meaningful opportunities for women and empower them economically. The fund's activities in egypt focus on the ready-made textiles sector and the agricultural sector, in addition to the financial inclusion sector, as the fund spreads awareness about digital financial methods that help women facilitate their financial transactions more efficiently and facilitate their use of these methods, whether on the personal or practical level.
The idea of the program Is to present a Series of short digital financial educational animated videos for the segment of women aged 18 To 45 years to introduce them to electronic Payment methods, as this Is In line with the state’s current plan to move towards paying All installments and financial payments electronically and not In cash.
Enterprise Objectives:
Enhancing beneficiaries’ knowledge of how digital tools available on smartphones contribute to simplifying business processes and achieving business growth. - building the capabilities of women who own small and micro-enterprises to effectively use various electronic payment channels in managing small business receivables and payments, including the micro-lending service.
It is worth noting that Egyptian small and microfinance institutions are on their way to complying with the Non-Cash Payments Law, which stipulates that microfinance institutions will disburse and collect installments through digital channels by the end of 2021 AD. The Together Association for Development and Environment has already entered the process of upgrading to Level B.
