Driver Training – Women’s Economic and Social Empowerment Program
The Women’s Economic and Social Empowerment Program, funded by USAID and implemented by Pathfinder in cooperation with the Together Association for Development and Environment in Minya, organized two awareness sessions to raise drivers’ awareness about combating gender-based violence.
The training sessions addressed important issues related to promoting women’s rights and supporting them in facing the various types of violence they face. They also emphasized the importance of each individual’s role in spreading the culture of respect in society and recognizing the social role of men within their families.
The drivers interacted positively and genuinely wanted to be part of positive change in society.
The program works closely and in a unified crucible with partner agencies affiliated with the Egyptian government, including the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and the National Council for Women, to achieve goals that ensure alignment with the priorities and initiatives of the Egyptian government.
